Denizli Airport Transfers & Information

Airport History

According to ‘the protocol of using military areas for civil aviation services’ between Directorate General of DHMI and Air forces , the airport first started to serve in a 250m2 prefabricate building in 1991. As the existing terminal was small and not enough, a 200m2 prefabricate terminal was transferred from another airport on October 26, 1998 and it started serving. Because the airport started international flights, customs and passport areas were added to it. The increase on passenger traffic and customs made the airport incomplete, so, a new terminal building, which is 280.000m2 and has capacity of 2.200.000 passengers, were planned to construct in the Southeastern part of the airport in 1998 and the construction started in 2001 and it opened on April 23, 2008. From that day on, we have been serving in our 18.739m2 terminal building with a classy and clean working environment and an elite service philosophy.
